MARIGNY URBAN GARDEN

overview

Two clients located in the vibrant neighborhood of the Marigny in New Orleans wanted to create an urban oasis near their home. A non conforming lot nearby offered a great opportunity to create a space for planting as well as a secondary location for the client’s pottery studio. This project is meant to be a landmark project showcasing how to utilize lots such as this in a dense urban context. Local plantings and rain water collection systems throughout the site make this urban garden a social gathering location for years to come.
