A project completed working as a Project Architect under the leadership of Rees Architects in East London. A modest extension with a contrasting brick was made for a small family in the vibrant Hackney neighborhood of London only steps away from the famous Victoria Park. Every centimeter of height was utilized in order to work with local building regulations as well as to keep the cost of construction down for the client. Ther result is a beautifully cantilevered extension effortlessly blends the rear garden with the kitchen, dining and reading area. Perfect for the type of entertainment our clients wanted to provide to their guests. The existing residence kept many of its historic chracteristics while blending in new warm tones of color and providing functionality such as an vertical bike storage under the entry starir and a new washroom and laundry room.
